The International Translation Association (INTTA) is a registered not for profit corporation that educates Canadians about the skills required to become a successful translator or interpreter.

Firstly INTTA’s role is to:

  1. Maintain Translation Associations
  2. Expand Translation Associations
  3. Provide support and seminars for members of TAs

This Association was created to help its members develop their abilities in Translation and Interpretation in order to effectively gain skills while they are in University, and in order to be better prepared to enter the post-academic world in the best possible way. As the University of Calgary Translation Association (UCTA) has both academic positions and executive positions, it has helped its members develop themselves in a number of categories. Here are some of them:

  • Presentation Skills
  • Public Speaking
  • Executive positions
  • Internal Affairs, External Affairs, Administration, Marketing, Curriculum development, Finance, IT-web development and maintenance
